Grammarly is an online service to help with your grammar. It does this by suggesting corrections in grammar, spelling and style. Grammarly also checks for plagiarism. Wilson University supplies Grammarly free of charge to all students and faculty.
You will be required to use Grammarly’s services for papers that are 5 or more pages. You need to submit both a grammar and plagiarism check.
- Grammar check – Grammarly will provide suggested edits, and you will have the opportunity to accept them or ignore them. Then you can download the edited paper. Print a report to submit with your paper. For instructions, view the following tutorial: Grammar Check Tutorial
- Plagiarism check – Grammarly will highlight text in your paper that is word-for-word from another source. Check to see if you have quotation marks around the material and you have provided a citation. If it isn’t in quotation marks and not cited, then it has to be changed to be quoted. Print a report to submit with your paper. For instructions, view the following tutorial: Plagiarism Check Tutorial
You will receive a report from Grammarly for both the grammar and plagiarism check that MUST be submitted with your paper. The report will include a summary of both grammar and plagiarism.
If you do not submit the required Grammarly report, you will automatically lose 10% of the value of the assignment.
